Today in History




 1n 1945, Indonesian nationalists declared their independence from the Netherlands.

The George Orwell novel “Animal Farm,” an allegorical satire of Soviet Communism, was first published in London by Martin Secker & Warburg.
 1986 - 42 people were beaten or stabbed at a Run D.M.C. concert in Long Beach, CA.

 
In 1998 - Carlos Santana was honoured with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
